  1. The resort pix with Saloon Hotel etc., That’s Silver Star Resort in Vernon, B.C. I know it well. It is much more developed now, that looks like early 1990’s. Maybe you already knew that… thought I’d pipe up anyway – great site!!

  2. Cool website! I’m pretty sure the motel/saloon is silverstar resort, Vernon BC. (and possibly a couple other shots). The lake/beach is definitely the okanagan in BC, perhaps nearby kalamalka or okanagan lakes.

  3. A ROUND AND AROUND (CASE #016)
Here is my take on these images…
‘md140826022.jpg’ this looks a lot like the early Kimberley Alpine Resort, near the town of Kimberley 30 minutes north of Cranbrook, BC. located in the Purcell Mountains of the East Kootenays. Many similar golf courses in the area as well. Then the image ‘md140826005.jpg’ this mountain range looks like the westside of the Rockies near Cranbrook, BC looking East. Hope this helps and jogs someone else’s memories.

P.S. Azriel Knight you are doing a great service here, helping many people to re-connect with their past, even if the photos shown are not theirs just seeing these photos helps keep alive their memories of earlier times and hopefully rekindles an interest to document their lives for future generations. All the best, David McQ.

  4. The photo at the top of the page (has a red stripe through it) has a Pontiac Sunfire in the parking lot (second car closest to the camera, just behind the station wagon). The Sunfire was introduced for the 1995 model year, so that places that photo, at least, no earlier than mid-1994.
