A half frame here shows a computer, and tack wall.

mdev-140124-h-002

There’s a lot in just this photo and the next one to narrow down the date.

mdev-140124-h-003

Most importantly on the tack board is a calendar that says March, but I can’t make out the year. However, it starts on a Wednesday, which could indicate 2006.

There are masks, photos, and other stuff but I can’t quite make it out.

For some reason she has a tonne of scissors.

mdev-140124-h-004

mdev-140124-h-005

One of these two might be the photographer.

mdev-140124-h-006

Her, shirt says “taylor University College, which is in Edmonton, Alberta. You can also see knitting, some multicoloured pens and a contact lens case.

mdev-140124-h-007

The book is called “The Lineage of Grace” by Francine Rivers, and was published in 2002. I think the photos belong to the girl in the glasses.

mdev-140124-h-010

You can see the young woman with the glasses wearing these slippers in the shot with her friend reading the book.

mdev-140124-h-011

There’s an indigo that has a similar front entrance in Edmonton

About the Film
There’s 40 frames crammed onto this 36 roll of Kodak Gold 400-6, I really was quite surprised. Right away from look of the negatives after processing, you can tell they’re old, at least 20 years.

I came across this roll of film while in Seattle Washington, in August 2014.

The Photos

mdev-150214-b-001

You can see right from the beginning of the roll, a useful shot was taken. The car could be 80’s or 90’s. I’m pretty sure that’s a map on their dashboard.

mdev-150214-b-006

Some nice photos of the countryside.

mdev-150214-b-007

mdev-150214-b-008

The computer off to the side is very mid 1990’s. The calendar is overexposed and I can’t make out a date. There’s a game on the desk: mancala, which is a type of board game. Doesn’t help me narrow the date down, as possibly hundreds of versions of this popular game exists.

mdev-150214-b-009

Some photos behind this kid include a vintage car, early 20th century, a house, a farm silo, a man silhouetted by steam or smoke, and a piece of farm equipment in what could be snow. There’s a respectable book collection which seems to include some thick textbooks.

mdev-150214-b-010

The wall art looks tribal. The desk calendar just says “16”. Thanks calendar.

Photos of the home, family and what’s likely a nearby park. The boat anchor in the park could be a clear indicator of where this was shot. The cars and their condition still leave this in the 1990’s, probably earlier rather than later.

mdev-150214-b-023

An overexposed shot

mdev-150214-b-024

A strong pose for a clown. Also, more photography on the walls. Could be the home owners work.

Photos from a kid costume party, and we can safely assume it’s near halloween. This could be at a school or community hall.

mdev-150214-b-034

mdev-150214-b-035

Finger, in the last few shots, and a change of scene. This looks like a choir, keep in tune with what time of year it is, this may be Christmas now. I see a star on the window, and maybe snow outside?

mdev-150214-b-036

mdev-150214-b-038

mdev-150214-b-039

mdev-150214-b-040

The photos are underexposed and pretty far away. You can see someone video taping in the crowd in one shot and the camera looked big.

Conclusions
Not a tonne to go on with this roll, even though it’s the most exposures I’ve seen fit on a 36 roll. Early 1990’s, and I see no reason why this isn’t in or near Seattle.

Camera and Film
I acquired this, with several other rolls of film, while visiting Seattle, Washington in August 2014. This is a 24 exposure roll Kodak Gold 200-6. The photographer managed to squeeze a total of 25 exposures, and out of those 24 retained images. This likely came from a point and shoot camera.

There is some colour warping. Could be the result of heat, but more likely age.

UPDATE: Film is aprox five years old. Colour shifting is due to heat or improper storage.

Photos
The first couple photos reveal El Castillo, so we can pretty much assume these are vacation photos.

mdev-150214-001

mdev-150214-002

mdev-150214-003

Here’s a bunch of really cool masks.

mdev-150214-004

Not sure if these images are supposed to be abstract or misfires?

mdev-150214-005

mdev-150214-006

mdev-150214-007

This photo could be taken by a kid, since we’re at eye level with the boy. This could explain the abstractness of the previous photographer.

mdev-150214-008

These next could photos look like they could be some type of indoor metal art piece. Sort of reminds me of the silent film metropolis.

mdev-150214-009

mdev-150214-010

This really could be anywhere because the next shots we have look like they’re back home. There’s the family dog, the kids room, including bunk bed, living room. mdev-150214-011

mdev-150214-012

mdev-150214-013

Kids fighting over oil pastels…very 20th century.

mdev-150214-014

There’s a sheet of paper of the back of a door. The title reads “The Jammes House Rules” I can’t read what they are, but there’s 12 of them. I don’t recognize any of the toys, but there’s a plastic VHS cassette case.

mdev-150214-015

This dog is being framed.

mdev-150214-017

A calendar says June but I can’t make out the year anywhere.
UPDATE: Thanks to ExtraNoise from Reddit for pointing out this calendar’s June 30th, ends on a Wednesday in 2011 and that the poster above the girls head is this one, made after 2009

mdev-150214-018

This looks like J.C. Chasez (Nsync) on the TV, but I couldn’t figure out what show he’s on.

Update: Thanks to several people for pointing out this is “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” which only came out after 2009

mdev-150214-019

mdev-150214-020

mdev-150214-021

Quite 90’s. Not a computer or cell phone in sight.

mdev-150214-022

mdev-150214-023

mdev-150214-024

Conclusions
These last photos, were likely taken by one of the kids, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the whole roll. This last photo shows their backyard. Could be Seattle, where I found the film, the trees look right for Washington.

Not sure why the film was abandoned, as the roll was finished. A lot of times there’s a jam or the battery dies. This had images from head to toe.

The Film

One roll of Fujicolor 400 film purchased online.

The Camera

Unknown, but it date stamped the photos.

The Images

Lots of real obvious clues on this roll of film, almost all of the W5 are answered.

These were shot at the United Methodist Center in Meredith, New Hampshire, and it looks like the majority of the people in the photos are graduates of Amazing Grace Senior High.

Most photos were taken on July 10, 2009. It makes this probably my most recent roll. I can confirm the date with other clues, such as the banners also displaying ’09

Some names are visible: Peter W.,  Abby L., Abby M., Jeremy Korth, Rebecca Jacobson, Michelle Aryiku, Andy Lee, Kyle B. James D. Jenna, Kaylon, Dawn, Kristy, Mandy, Zack Hogen, Matt, Brian, etc.

I’d love to reunite the photos with the owner.
